Getting started
What is LASI?+
One app for a live auction business: inventory at true cost, the show workflow, packing, shipping, returns, host commissions and real profit per stream.
Who is LASI for, and who is it not for?+
It is for businesses running live auctions on TikTok Shop, especially out of pallets and bins with no manifest, who want the real profit of each show. It is not the right tool for a Whatnot-only seller, or for a brand that needs listings synced across Amazon, eBay and other marketplaces.
How long does setup take?+
An afternoon. Bulk-import your bins with their real opening costs, or pull an entire Shopify catalog in one click. A first-run checklist walks the rest.
Which platforms does it work with?+
TikTok Shop connects directly — orders, live sessions, settlements, returns and refunds. Shopify syncs inventory and orders both ways. Whatnot and anything else come in by CSV or XLSX.
Do I have to stop using Seller Center?+
No. Listings are still created there, and LASI can queue that work from a saved template for the automation you already run. Everything after the listing lives in LASI.
Shows and inventory
Do I have to change how I run my shows?+
No. There are three flows — stage to the set, sell straight off the shelf, or count after the stream — and you pick one per show. Inventory and profit land the same either way.
I sell manifested items, not pallets. Does that work?+
Yes, and most sellers use both. A bin of interchangeable units runs on a cost ledger; a manifested item carries its own cost and barcode.
How does new stock get in?+
A bin is restocked at its new buy cost. Barcoded items are scanned in from the delivery: LASI looks up each barcode once, and nothing becomes stock until you confirm the count and cost.
Why does FIFO costing matter?+
Because averages drift. Restock at a higher price and an average quietly rewrites the cost of stock you already own. LASI stamps the real cost on each sale, so a margin still holds up months later.
Can I see profit while a show is still running?+
Yes, on a show selling out of one bin — the counting board and your phone both show gross, profit and margin live. It says plainly that it is an estimate until the show closes.
Can I see which streams sell best?+
Yes. Every stream is kept with its viewers, sales and items sold per minute, and compared by time of day and by host. A Chrome extension on your streaming computer reads the live viewer counts.
What about host commissions?+
Filed automatically when a show closes, and visible to the host on their own phone. Two hosts on one show are split at the handoff, each paid at their own rate, and a wrong host or date can be corrected afterwards.
Money
How accurate are the TikTok fees?+
A show starts on your shop’s rate. Within hours each order’s fee is replaced with TikTok’s own estimate, then with the settled figure — so your P&L ends on TikTok’s numbers, not a guess.
Can I see where my TikTok money is?+
Yes. Every order is followed from delivery to settlement to the deposit in your bank, so you can see what is in transit, what is settling and what has landed. The early-payout fee TikTok does not itemize is counted too.
Shipping
Does LASI buy my shipping labels?+
Not yet. Buying labels on your own UPS account, at your own rates and with tracking sent back to TikTok, is coming soon. Today, upload the label PDF from your shipping software or TikTok Seller Center, and the packing bench prints each label when you scan.
How does it decide which service to use?+
From rules you set once: item weight, how many can share a box, and box sizes by item count. Orders combine per buyer, then price on the cheapest service that can legally carry them.
What if a box has no weight rule?+
It is held, not shipped. Nothing is bought on a guess — an unpriced box is a carrier billing adjustment waiting to happen.
What if I ship on TikTok’s labels?+
That works too. LASI reads what TikTok charged for labels from your settlements, so shipping profit still lands per show.
Can I keep using my current label software?+
Yes, and today that is how labels get into LASI. Drop the PDF in and LASI splits it, matches each label to its order, and the bench prints each one when you scan.
Packing
What hardware do I need?+
A computer, a USB barcode scanner and a label printer. Nothing custom, and nothing to install beyond a small print agent.
How does it speed packing up?+
The packer takes any box off the rack and scans it — no searching for the right label, no confirm tap. The label prints, the card says which carrier bin it goes in, and the next box starts.
How does it stop mispacks?+
One box is one label however many items are in it, every number has to be ticked before the box seals, and picking the wrong item raises a question instead of quietly packing it.
Can two people pack at the same time?+
Yes. Each bench picks its own printer, so a scan always prints where that packer is standing. Sessions are timed per packer, so you can see what packing costs per box.
What if an order is cancelled after its label prints?+
The box is frozen at the bench and cannot ship. Somebody with the right rights clears it, with a note, before it moves.
Returns
Does it handle returns?+
Yes. TikTok returns and cancellations land in one inbox, ordered by the deadline actually running down, with the box and the packer who sealed it attached to each one.
What happens when a package comes back?+
Scan it at the returns desk and inspect each unit. Like-new units go back to their bin at the exact cost the sale took them out at; anything unusable is written off when the refund lands.
Can I answer a return without opening Seller Center?+
Yes, once an admin turns sending on. It starts in shadow mode so you can compare what LASI would have done against what your team actually did before anything is sent.
Team, data and billing
Who on my team sees costs and profit?+
Five roles. Admins see everything; managers see revenue but not costs; hosts see their own shows and their own commission; staff see no money at all; customer service sees the buyer in front of them.
Is there a phone app?+
Yes, for iPhone: a sales chart worth posting, tonight’s streams and live profit, counting a show back, packing, the returns desk and your own commission.
Does LASI work with AI assistants?+
Yes. LASI is a Claude connector: ask about stock, shows, streams or profit in plain English, or have it log a delivery. It can never sell, refund, or delete stock or sales, and connecting it is admin-only.
What does it cost?+
Starter is $149 a month, Growth is $299 a month, Unlimited is $449 a month. Plans are priced by order volume and team size, and every plan is the whole product — no feature gates. Each one opens with a 7-day free trial.
What happens if I cancel?+
The app becomes read-only. Your data stays visible and exportable; only changes are blocked, so nothing is lost if you come back.
Is my data mine?+
Yes. An admin can export the whole organization as JSON at any time, and deleting the business deletes its records immediately. There is no lock-in and no feature held hostage.
Can you see my numbers?+
No. Operator access is a fixed allowlist of named accounts, every visit is logged, and the console shows billing and integration health — never inventory, sales, costs or profit. There is no "log in as customer".
