What did that show actually make?

Gross is not profit. Put in what the stream sold and what the stock cost, and this works out the rest — fees, cost of goods, giveaways and the margin on shipping.

Four things that make this number wrong

Most show maths goes wrong in the same few places. This calculator follows the same rules LASI uses on a live show, so the answer here is the answer there.

A gift is never in the denominator
Giveaways cost you stock, so they belong in cost of goods — but they were not paid for, so they must stay out of profit per unit and average sale. Divide by every unit that left the room and every figure reads low.
Profit per unit divides by units paid for
And average sale divides by paid orders, not by order count. Order count carries the cancels and the $0 giveaways, which is how a good show ends up looking like a bad one.
An average unit cost drifts
Pallet price ÷ item count is right until you restock at a different price — then it quietly rewrites the cost of stock you already own. The number that holds up months later is the cost of the actual unit that sold.
No cost, no number
If you have not priced your giveaway stock, this calculator leaves those units out and says how many are uncosted, rather than charging them at the selling price. A guessed cost is worse than a missing one.

Doing this per show, by hand, every night

LASI keeps the cost ledger for you — every unit at what it actually cost, every show costed as it runs, shipping margin per stream, and commission split between hosts. The figure above stops being something you type.
