Two kinds of AI help in LASI#

LASI has two AI features. Most people only ever need the first.

FeatureAsk LASI (built in)Claude connected to LASI
What it answersQuestions about your business, such as how last night's show did or how many are left in a bin, and how LASI works. The same kind of questions, inside Claude.ai, Claude Desktop or Claude Code.
Sees your dataYes, but only what your own role can see in LASI.Everything an admin can read, with a few deliberate exceptions.
Can change thingsA few inventory changes, and only after you tap Confirm on the card it shows you.Only if an admin allows changes: it can add stock and build calculators.
WhereThe Help page, the sparkle button in the corner of every screen, and the phone app.In Claude, after an admin connects it.
WhoEveryone. Nobody needs a Claude account.Set up by an admin, with their own Claude account.

The Help page#

Open Help at the bottom of the sidebar. At the top is the Ask LASI assistant; under it, a search box (Search help…) and the help articles, grouped by topic. You only see articles about screens your role can open. Click a question to open its answer; while you search, matching answers open by themselves.

Replay the welcome tour shows the first-run tour again.

This guide is the full manual. The Help page is the quick version inside the app.

Asking LASI#

Type a question into Ask LASI… on the Help page, or tap the sparkle button in the bottom-right corner of any other screen to open Ask LASI without leaving what you are doing. On the phone, tap the sparkle button at the top of Today, or open Menu → Ask LASI. To get started, tap one of the suggested questions; they are picked for your role.

While it looks something up, a line under your question says what it is checking, for example "Checking the bins…". Then the answer appears as it is written. Most answers take a few seconds.

  • It looks your numbers up in LASI, from the same reports your own screens show, so its figures match the app. It does not guess: a figure it cannot find is reported as unknown, and a show that has not been finalized is described as waiting to be finalized, not as zero.
  • It explains how LASI works, from the same help the Help page shows, filtered to your role, so it will not send you to a screen you cannot open.
  • It can make a few inventory changes for you, always behind a card you confirm. See Making a change with Ask LASI. Anything else, such as running or finalizing a show or refunding a buyer, it cannot do: ask it how, and it tells you the page and the button.
  • It only talks about LASI and your business.
  • The conversation is kept while you move between pages in the same browser tab, and on the phone until you close the app. The circular arrow button (Start over) clears it.

What Ask LASI can see, by role#

Ask LASI sees exactly what your role sees in the app, and no more. If you ask for something your role does not include, it says so and suggests asking an admin; it never hints at the hidden number.

RoleWhat it can look up for you
AdminEverything: profit and loss, cost of goods, cash flow, every show's report, bins and their costs, sales, streams, returns, packing, commission, the team.
ManagerSales and revenue, show reports without profit, bins and how many are left (no costs), the reorder forecast, streams, returns, packing, replacements, the team and scheduled listings. Not profit, costs or commission.
HostYour own shows' reports, your own streams, your own commission, how many are left in the bins, the show list, and who is live. Not profit, costs or other hosts' pay.
StaffHow many are left in the bins, the show list, barcodes and the catalog, and who is live. No money.
Customer serviceTikTok returns, replacement requests and who is live.

Things to ask

  • "How did last night's show do?"
  • "How many are left in the Prada bin?"
  • "How much commission did I make this week?" (hosts)
  • "Which time of day do my streams sell best?"
  • "Which returns need us today?"
  • "Which bins need reordering?" (admins and managers)
  • "How much profit did we make this month?" (admins)

LASI runs Ask LASI for you: nobody on your team needs a Claude account for it. Your questions and its answers are not stored; LASI keeps only a count of how much the assistant is used.

Making a change with Ask LASI#

Admins, managers and staff

Tell Ask LASI what happened in plain words, for example "We just got 12 more lavender candles at $4.10 each, restock the bin." It finds the bin and shows you a card with exactly what will happen: the bin, the units, the cost, and how many units the bin will hold afterwards. Nothing changes until you tap Confirm. Tap Cancel and nothing changes at all.

  1. 1Ask for the change. Give the numbers yourself: Ask LASI never guesses a quantity or a cost, and asks when one is missing.
  2. 2Check the card. If it picked the wrong bin or a number is off, tap Cancel and say what is right.
  3. 3Tap Confirm. The card turns green and says what was done, for example "Restocked: 12 units added, the bin now holds 32 units."
ChangeWho can ask for itWhat happens on Confirm
Restock a binAdmins, managersThe units are added as a new cost layer at the cost you gave, exactly as the Restock button does.
Add a new binAdmins, managersA new bin with its opening stock at its buy cost. If a bin with that name already has stock, it asks whether you meant to restock it.
Record stock on orderAdmins, managersThe order is noted for the reorder forecast. Nothing is added to stock yet.
Receive a stock orderAdmins, managersThe delivery is added to the bin and the order is marked received (or partly received).
Change a bin's forecast settingsAdmins, managersIts lead time, safety stock, cover target or reorder point. Stock does not move.
Name a barcodeAdmins, managers, staffLASI remembers what the barcode is, so later scans recognize it. No stock is added.
Schedule a showAdmins, managersThe show is queued from your template for the day and time you gave, and added to Auctions. The LASI Chrome extension then builds it in Seller Center, asking before it publishes. See Building shows in Seller Center.
  • A card is good for 15 minutes. After that, ask again and a fresh one is made.
  • A card only works for the person it was made for, and your role is checked again when you tap Confirm.
  • Tapping Confirm twice, or on two devices, makes the change once.
  • A manager's card never shows a cost they cannot see in LASI; receiving an order uses the cost recorded on it.

What connecting Claude gives you#

Admins

LASI can be connected to Claude, Anthropic's AI assistant, so you can ask it about your business in plain words and it looks the answers up in LASI itself. It reads the same reports your pages show, worked out by the same code, so its numbers are the page's numbers.

What it can read

  • Bins and their cost layers, barcoded items and the catalog, and the reorder forecast.
  • Shows, the ones not finalized yet, and a finished show's full report.
  • The Finance page's profit and loss, cash flow and money per show, the sales chart, sales summaries and top products, and SKU pricing.
  • Streams, and what is live right now.
  • Returns, packing, replacement requests, losses, commission, your team, TikTok shops and scheduled listing jobs.

What it can change, only if you allow changes

  • Add stock: a new bin with its opening stock, a restock of a bin at a new cost, or a delivery of barcoded items counted into a scan-in batch and finalized. Always through the same steps the app uses, and never twice for one delivery.
  • Record stock you have on order, and receive it.
  • Change a bin's reorder settings for the forecast.
  • Build, edit, publish and share price calculators.
  • Pick up and complete scheduled listing jobs (see below).

Your server URL#

Admins

Open Settings → Integrations → Claude. The Server URL card shows the address Claude connects to: your LASI address followed by /api/mcp, for example https://www.trylasi.com/api/mcp. Press Copy to copy it.

trylasi.com/settings/integrations/claude
Settings → Integrations → Claude: the server URL, access tokens and recent activity.
Claude.ai or Claude Desktop
  1. Add a custom connector with the Server URL
  2. LASI’s Connect an agent page opens
  3. An admin signs in and presses Connect
  4. Claude can use LASI
Claude Code
  1. Settings → Integrations → Claude
  2. Create token (tick Allow changes, if wanted)
  3. Run claude mcp add …

Reads reports; with changes allowed, adds stock and builds calculators.

Never sells, finalizes, refunds or deletes.

The two ways to connect Claude, and what either connection can do.

Connecting Claude.ai or Claude Desktop#

Admins

  1. 1In LASI, open Settings → Integrations → Claude and Copy the Server URL.
  2. 2In Claude.ai or Claude Desktop, add a custom connector and paste the URL.
  3. 3Claude opens LASI's Connect an agent page. If you are not signed in, press Sign in and continue.
  4. 4Check the page: which business it will connect to, Signed in as, and Sends data to, plus what it will be allowed to do.
  5. 5To let Claude read but never change anything, tick Read-only access.
  6. 6Press Connect. You are sent back to Claude, which can now use LASI.
trylasi.com/mcp/authorize
The page where an admin approves a connection, and can make it read-only.

The connection then shows under Access tokens as a connected app. Claude keeps itself signed in; you do not need to do this again unless you revoke it.

Connecting Claude Code with a token#

Admins

Claude Code and other tools that cannot sign in through a web page use a personal access token instead.

  1. 1Open Settings → Integrations → Claude.
  2. 2Under Access tokens, type a Name (for example "Claude Code").
  3. 3Tick Allow changes if Claude should be able to add stock and build calculators. Leave it unticked for read-only.
  4. 4Press Create token.
  5. 5Copy the token straight away. It is shown once and never again.
  6. 6Run the command shown under it, which looks like claude mcp add --transport http lasi https://www.trylasi.com/api/mcp --header "Authorization: Bearer lasi_pat_…". For other tools, the page also shows the same settings as a block you can paste.

Read only, or read and changes#

Every connection is one of two kinds. The token list says which: read only or read + changes.

KindWhat Claude can do
Read onlyLook everything up. The change tools are not even offered to it.
Read + changesEverything above, plus add stock, record and receive stock orders, change forecast settings, build calculators and work on listing jobs.
  • A connection acts as the admin who made it. If that person stops being an admin, it stops working at once.
  • If your subscription lapses, Claude can still read but its changes are refused, exactly like the app.
  • Anything Claude adds is recorded under the admin who connected it.

Things to ask Claude#

Once connected, ask in plain words. Some examples:

  • "How much profit did we make last week, and how does it compare with the week before?"
  • "Which shows have not been finalized yet?"
  • "How did Saturday's show do? Break down profit by bin."
  • "Which bins will run out in the next two weeks, and what should I reorder?"
  • "What are my best-selling products this month?"
  • "Which time of day do my streams sell the most per hour?"
  • "How much money is still on its way from TikTok, and when does it land?"
  • "How many returns are waiting on us, and which ones are closest to the deadline?"
  • "Who packed the fastest this week?"
  • "We just received 40 queen blankets at $6.20 each. Restock the Queen blankets bin." (needs changes allowed)
  • "Build a calculator for the bedding show from these three bins with a $12 target." (needs changes allowed)

Listing automations#

Admins

The same connection is how a listing automation (a tool that types your show's listings into TikTok Seller Center for you) picks up the jobs you scheduled in LASI. Give it a token with Allow changes, using the settings block shown when you create the token. See Scheduling listings and the team schedule.

Seeing what Claude did, and revoking access#

Admins

Recent agent activity at the bottom of Settings → Integrations → Claude lists every tool Claude used, when, and how long it took. A failed call is shown in red with its error.

Each token and connected app in the Access tokens list shows when it was last used. Press Revoke to cut it off; it stops working on its next request. Revoke any token you no longer use, or one you think someone else has seen.

Common questions#

Can Ask LASI see my sales or inventory?

Yes, as much as your role can see in the app. An admin's assistant sees profit and costs; a manager's sees sales but not profit; a host's sees their own shows, streams and commission; staff see bin counts and no money. See What Ask LASI can see, by role.

Ask LASI says profit is not part of my role.

That is right for your login: profit and costs are admin-only in LASI, and the assistant follows the same rule. Ask an admin for the figure.

Can Ask LASI change something for me?

A few inventory things, yes: restock a bin, add a bin, record or receive a stock order, a bin's forecast settings, and naming a barcode. It shows a card first and changes nothing until you tap Confirm. See Making a change with Ask LASI.

I tapped Confirm and it says the card has expired.

A card lasts 15 minutes. Ask again and a fresh one is made; nothing was changed by the old one.

Do we need a Claude account for Ask LASI?

No. LASI runs it for you. A Claude account is only needed if an admin wants to connect Claude itself to LASI (below).

Ask LASI says it isn't set up.

It is not switched on. The help articles on the Help page and this guide still work.

Claude says it is not authorized, or the connection stopped working.

The token may have been revoked, or the admin who made it is no longer an admin. Create a new token, or connect again from Claude.

Claude won't connect at all.

Check that you pasted the exact Server URL from Settings → Integrations → Claude, including /api/mcp, and that the person approving on the Connect an agent page is an admin.

Can Claude refund a buyer or finalize a show if I ask it to?

No. Those actions do not exist for Claude, so it cannot do them however it is asked. You do them in LASI.

I asked Claude to restock a bin and the request timed out. Will it add the stock twice?

No. Every stock-adding request carries a one-time key, so a retry of the same delivery is recognised and adds nothing.

Can a manager connect Claude?

No. Connecting Claude gives it access to cost and profit, which only admins see, so only an admin can create a token or approve a connection.

Does Claude see my buyers' addresses?

No. Names, addresses, phone numbers and emails are removed from everything Claude reads. TikTok handles and tracking numbers stay.
