What connects to LASI#

LASI works on its own — you can add inventory, run shows and pack orders with nothing connected. Connections save typing: TikTok Shop sends your orders, streams, fees and returns; Shopify keeps a web store in step with your barcoded stock; Homebase brings in your team’s schedule and hours.

Every connection lives in one place: Settings → Integrations. Only admins see that group, because each one holds a key or a login for an outside account.

Settings → Integrations lists every connection with a one-line description of what it does.

Connecting TikTok Shop#

Admins

TikTok Shop is the connection most of LASI leans on. Once it is connected, LASI can read your orders and LIVE sessions, work out what each show sold, true up your fees from TikTok’s own figures, and list your returns and cancellations. LASI only reads your orders — it never places or changes one unless you turn on return decisions yourself.

  1. 1Open Settings → Integrations → TikTok Shop.
  2. 2Click Connect TikTok Shop. LASI sends you to TikTok Shop’s seller sign-in.
  3. 3Sign in with the TikTok Shop seller account you sell under, and approve the access LASI asks for.
  4. 4TikTok sends you back to LASI. The page says Successfully connected to TikTok Shop! and the Connection card shows Connected, your Shop name and Shop ID.
  5. 5Click Test Connection once. It should answer “Connected to” and your shop name.
trylasi.com/settings/integrations/tiktok
The TikTok Shop page. Before connecting it offers Connect TikTok Shop; once connected it shows the shop, its ID and the last sync, with Test Connection, Re-authorize and Disconnect.

Why it goes to the US sign-in page

TikTok runs a separate seller sign-in for US shops, and its general sign-in page turns US shops away with a message like “not available in your shop’s region”. LASI sends you straight to the US sign-in, so you do not need to choose anything. If your shop is registered outside the US, write to support before you connect.

Re-authorize, test or disconnect TikTok Shop#

Admins

LASI refreshes its TikTok login by itself every night, so a working connection stays working. You only need to touch it in three cases.

  • Re-authorize — runs the TikTok sign-in again without disconnecting. Use it when a screen tells you a permission is missing (for example the Finance permission below), or when TikTok says the connection has expired. Nothing you have in LASI is lost.
  • Test Connection — asks TikTok for your shop right now and tells you whether it answered.
  • Disconnect — stops LASI talking to TikTok and deletes LASI’s TikTok keys for your shop. Your shows, sales and reports stay; new orders, streams and returns stop arriving until you connect again.

When TikTok ends the connection

  • If you remove LASI in TikTok Shop (or TikTok revokes its access), TikTok tells LASI straight away. LASI checks with TikTok, then disconnects your shop exactly as Disconnect would: it stops reading, deletes its TikTok keys, and keeps everything already in LASI. Admins get a TikTok Shop disconnected notice. To come back, press Connect TikTok Shop.
  • Before your approval runs out, TikTok warns LASI, and admins get a Re-approve LASI in TikTok Shop notice with the date. Press Re-authorize before then and nothing stops. The notice comes once per date, not every day.
  • Connecting again clears both notices.

The Finance permission (for Settlements and fees)

Settlements, payouts and the fee true-up read TikTok’s finance records, which TikTok treats as a separate permission. A shop connected before LASI asked for it will see a message on Finance → Cash flow → Settlements asking you to re-authorize. Click Re-authorize on the TikTok Shop page, approve again, then click Sync from TikTok in Settlements once more. See Finance and TikTok fees.

Your shop accounts and LIVE attribution#

Admins set the names; admins and managers label streams

TikTok marks every order sold during a LIVE with a stream number, but it does not say which account streamed it. LASI puts names on those streams for you, using the shop account names you type in.

  1. 1Open Settings → Shows → TikTok Shops.
  2. 2Type each account name you stream under (for example lasideals) and click + Add Shop.
  3. 3On the Orders page, a LIVE order whose listing titles mention one of those names is labelled with it automatically.
  4. 4A stream LASI could not name shows a dashed LIVE badge. Click it and pick the account — your choice always wins over the automatic one.

Naming a stream is not the same as linking it to a show. A show is linked to its streams on purpose, never by time — see Shows and The post-show flow for how a stream is tied to the show it was.

Syncing TikTok’s product categories#

Admins

Auction templates pick a TikTok category from a list rather than having you type it, because a category typed one character differently from TikTok’s cannot be selected on the listing form. The list comes from TikTok.

  1. 1Open Settings → Integrations → TikTok Shop.
  2. 2In Product categories, click Sync categories.
  3. 3When it finishes, the card says how many categories were synced and how many can be listed.

Run it again whenever TikTok adds categories you need. Until it has been run once, the template’s category box falls back to typing, with a warning. See Scheduling listings.

TikTok returns and the webhook#

Admins

Returns and cancellations arrive over the same TikTok Shop connection — there is nothing extra to connect. LASI checks for changes every hour. Settings → Integrations → TikTok returns decides what LASI may do with them: whether decisions made in LASI are sent to TikTok, the customer service refund limit, the deadline alerts, and the return slip.

The TikTok webhook card on that page shows the address TikTok can notify so a change reaches LASI in seconds instead of at the next hourly check, plus Last webhook, Last sync and Timelines — when each last worked. “never” beside Last webhook only means changes are arriving at the hourly check. Everything else about returns is in TikTok returns and cancellations.

Connecting Shopify#

Admins

Shopify is for sellers who also run a web store. The connection works with barcoded items — the one-row-per-unit kind of inventory, each with its own AUC- label. Bins (pallets of interchangeable units) are not sent to Shopify. See Inventory for the difference.

  1. 1Open Settings → Integrations → Shopify.
  2. 2Under Shop Domain, type your store’s address — mystore or mystore.myshopify.com.
  3. 3Click Connect and approve LASI in Shopify.
  4. 4Back in LASI, the page says Successfully connected to Shopify!
  5. 5Look at Auto-Sync (Webhooks). It should read All webhooks active — orders sync automatically. If it says a webhook is missing, click Register Webhooks.

Default Settings

  • Default Sales Price — the price used when LASI creates a new product in Shopify for you.
  • Default Product Status — Draft (hidden from customers until you publish it, so you can add photos and a description) or Active.
  • Auto-sync inventory changes to Shopify — while this is on, barcoded items you add to LASI are pushed to Shopify as products. Switch it off and LASI stops creating products in your store. Quantity changes for items that are already linked keep syncing either way.

Click Save Settings after changing any of them.

Importing your whole Shopify store#

Admins and managers

If your catalog already lives in Shopify, you can bring all of it into LASI in one go: every product becomes a catalog item, every unit in stock gets its own barcode, and each unit takes its real cost from the Cost per item you track in Shopify.

  1. 1Connect Shopify first (above).
  2. 2Open Inventory → Add inventory → Your whole Shopify store. (A new account also sees it on the first-run checklist.)
  3. 3Check the three numbers at the top: Store, Products in Shopify and Not yet imported.
  4. 4Under How costs work, type a Fallback unit cost for products that have no cost in Shopify, or leave it empty for $0 and restock at real costs later.
  5. 5Click Import everything from Shopify. It can take a few minutes on a big store.
  6. 6Read the result: products and units imported, how many units used the fallback cost, and any problems.

A very large store can take more than one run. If the result says your store is larger than one run covers, click the button again — it now reads Import the remaining … products — and LASI carries on where it stopped. Products already imported are always skipped, so clicking twice never makes duplicates.

How stock stays in step with Shopify#

LASI changes a Shopify quantity at the moments a barcoded unit leaves or comes back to your shelf. It adjusts by one unit at a time, only for items linked to a Shopify product and size.

LASIShopify quantityfor barcoded items linked to a Shopify product

Changes Shopify

  • Move an item to a show−1
  • Mark as sold−1
  • Change an item’s status−1 / +1
  • Delete a show+1 each

  • Count a show backno change
  • Finalize a showno change
  • Anything on a bin (pallet)no change

A Shopify problem never stops LASI. If Shopify is down or refuses a change, your show or sale goes through in LASI as normal, and the two can be brought back in step later with Check Sync Status (below).

Shopify orders coming into LASI#

When someone buys on your Shopify store, the order reaches LASI three ways, so none is missed:

  • Right away, through the webhooks on the Shopify page (paid, updated and fulfilled orders).
  • In the background, a few times a day and at least once a day, LASI pulls recent orders by itself.
  • By hand — Pull Orders from Shopify on the Shopify page, with a Time Period from the last 24 hours to the last 30 days. Use it to catch up on orders from before the webhooks were registered.

Each order becomes a sale on the Sales page and marks the matching units sold. An order that is processed twice is recognised and counted once. After a manual pull, LASI shows Orders found, Already processed, Newly processed and Items marked sold.

When LASI cannot match a Shopify item

If a Shopify line does not match anything in LASI, or there is no unit left to mark sold, it lands in the Notifications bell as Unmatched Shopify item or No inventory available. Click Match, pick the SKU and Size, and click Match & Mark Sold — or dismiss it if the item was never in LASI.

Checking and fixing Shopify quantities#

Admins

  1. 1Open Settings → Integrations → Shopify.
  2. 2Under Sync Inventory, click Check Sync Status.
  3. 3If everything agrees, it says All inventory is in sync between your app and Shopify.
  4. 4Otherwise a table lists each SKU and size with App Qty, Shopify Qty and Diff — orange (+) when LASI has more, blue (−) when Shopify has more.
  5. 5Click Match Shopify → App to make LASI follow Shopify (marks sold or creates items), or Match App → Shopify to push LASI’s quantities to Shopify.

Product Linking → Manage Links lets you connect Shopify products to LASI catalog items by hand, so orders and quantities find each other.

Connecting Homebase (schedule and timecards)#

Admins

Homebase is where many sellers schedule their team. LASI can read it so everyone sees the week on the Schedule page, and so packing labor and staff costs use real wages. LASI only ever reads — it cannot change your schedule or payroll, and Homebase stays the place you edit them.

  1. 1In Homebase, open Settings → API and request a read-only API key.
  2. 2In LASI, open Settings → Integrations → Homebase.
  3. 3Paste the key into Homebase API key and click Connect Homebase. LASI checks the key with Homebase, then runs the first sync.
  4. 4The page shows Connected with your company name, your location, and when it last synced.
trylasi.com/settings/integrations/homebase
Settings → Integrations → Homebase before connecting: paste the read-only API key and press Connect Homebase.

Syncing

Each sync pulls the last 4 weeks and the next 3 weeks of schedule, plus 4 weeks of timecards. It runs by itself every night. To pull right now — for example after publishing next week in Homebase — click Sync now here or on the Schedule page. Replace API key swaps the key if you rotate it; Disconnect removes the synced schedule and timecards from LASI.

Linking employees to your team

Under Employees, each Homebase employee sits beside a dropdown of your payroll records (the staff records in Settings → Team). Employees whose name matches a payroll record exactly are linked automatically and marked auto-linked. Pick a different record, or No payroll link, to change it — a choice you make is never overridden by a later sync.

Who sees what

  • Everyone on the team sees the published schedule on the Schedule page.
  • Wages, labor cost and unpublished draft shifts are visible to admins only.
  • Packing labor cost uses each packer’s Homebase wage when there is one, else the hourly rate on their staff record — again admins only.

Email invites#

Admins and managers

When you invite someone from Settings → Team → Invite Employee, LASI always makes an invite link you can copy and send yourself. Where email sending is available on your account, LASI also emails the invite, the confirmation says Invite emailed, and each pending invite has an Email Invite button to send it again.

If you do not see an Email Invite button, email is not set up for your account — use Copy Link and send the link by text or email. It works exactly the same. See Your team and roles.

Printing and shipping labels#

Admins

Two connections put paper and postage in reach of the packing bench:

  • Printing — PrintNode, a small app on the bench computer, lets LASI print labels and stickers straight to the printer with no print dialog. Paste your PrintNode key, pick the printer, test-print. Setup, printer models and paper sizes are in Printers, scanners and cameras.
  • Shipping labels — choose how labels are bought: Shippo (one pasted token) or Your own UPS account (your negotiated rates, set up from a UPS developer app). Replacement labels are covered in Replacement requests; show labels and templates in Shipping.

Managers find a Labels and printers card in Settings → Shipping that points to these two pages; setting them up stays with admins because each holds a key or a business address.

Stream stats (the Chrome extension)#

Admins

TikTok does not share live viewer counts with any app. LASI’s Chrome extension reads them off your own LIVE dashboard on the streaming laptop. You pair each laptop under Settings → Integrations → Stream stats with Pair laptop, then paste the code into the extension. Everything about installing and using it is in The LASI Chrome extension.

Barcode (UPC) lookups#

When you scan a store barcode LASI has never seen, it asks public product databases what the item is, so you get a name, colour or size to start from instead of a blank form. Nothing to connect — it is always on.

  • A lookup never adds stock by itself. On the scanner it only shows what the item is; in Scan in items and Catalog barcodes it fills in the naming form, which you check and save.
  • LASI remembers every answer, so each barcode is looked up once for good. A barcode nobody knew is asked about again after a week.
  • The free databases limit how many new barcodes can be looked up a day. If the form comes back empty on a busy scanning day, type the name — it is saved and the barcode is known from then on.

See The catalog and scanning stock in.

Notifications and phone alerts#

LASI tells you when something needs you: a show ready to close, stock to reorder, a packer gone quiet, a return deadline, a replacement decision, a sales milestone. Each one lands in two places at once.

  • The bell at the top of the web app. Dismiss removes one; Clear all empties it. Reorder warnings clear themselves once the product is ordered or restocked.
  • A push notification on your iPhone, if you use the LASI app and allowed notifications when it asked. Tapping it opens the right screen.

Who gets which notification follows your role: a money figure goes only to people allowed to see it, and some notifications (a replacement you filed being shipped, say) go only to the one person they concern. The same notification is never sent twice. When you sign out of the phone app, that phone stops receiving your notifications. See The LASI iPhone app.

Claude#

Admins

Settings → Integrations → Claude lets Claude (Anthropic’s assistant) read your business directly — inventory, shows, profit — and, if you allow changes, add stock and build price calculators. It has its own chapter: Ask LASI, and LASI with Claude.

Common questions#

I can’t see Settings → Integrations.

Only admins see the Integrations group. Ask your admin, or see Your team and roles.

TikTok said my shop is “not available in your region”.

That is TikTok’s general sign-in page, which refuses US shops. Start again from Connect TikTok Shop (or Re-authorize) in LASI so you land on the US sign-in. If your shop is outside the US, write to support.

Settlements says the Finance permission is missing.

Open Settings → Integrations → TikTok Shop, click Re-authorize, approve again, then click Sync from TikTok in Settlements. Nothing is lost by re-authorizing.

Do I need to reconnect TikTok every so often?

No. LASI renews the login every night. Re-authorize only when a screen asks you to.

Why didn’t my Shopify quantity change when I sold a bin?

Bins (pallets) are not in Shopify — only barcoded items are. See How stock stays in step with Shopify.

A Shopify order didn’t show up as a sale.

Check that Auto-Sync (Webhooks) reads all active; if not, click Register Webhooks. Then use Pull Orders for the days you missed. If an item did not match, it is waiting in the bell as Unmatched Shopify item — click Match.

Will importing my Shopify store twice duplicate everything?

No. Products already imported are skipped every time.

Can LASI change my Homebase schedule?

No. The Homebase key is read-only, and LASI never writes back.

The Schedule page says there is no schedule this week.

Homebase may have published it after the last sync. Click Sync now on the Schedule page or in Settings → Integrations → Homebase.

My phone never buzzes.

Check the iPhone’s Settings → Notifications → LASI is allowed, then sign out of the app and back in so it registers again. Some notifications only go to certain roles.

Not on LASI yet?

Signups open soon. Leave your email and we’ll tell you the moment they do.

One email when signups open. Nothing else, and never your address to anyone.
