What scheduling a show does#
Before every show, somebody builds it in TikTok Seller Center: the LIVE event, then one auction listing per round, each with a name, a category, a starting bid, a timer and the shipping answers. It is the same typing every time.
TikTok does not let outside apps create auctions through its API. So LASI writes down exactly what should be listed, and the LASI Chrome extension on your streaming laptop does the typing in Seller Center for you: press Build in its popup, it fills in the event and every listing, and it asks before it publishes. See Building shows in Seller Center.
That split is the idea: LASI knows what goes on each listing (from your templates), and the builder works out how to fill in the forms on the page in front of it. If you already run your own automation (a browser helper such as OpenClaw), it can pick the same work up from the same queue instead. If TikTok ever lets apps create auctions, LASI can do it directly from the very same queue.
You pick the template, shops, date and listings.

Admins
- Your TikTok shop accounts are listed under
Settings → Shows → TikTok Shops. Each account you stream on is a checkbox when scheduling. - TikTok’s categories are synced, so categories can be picked instead of typed:
Settings → Integrations → TikTok Shop → Sync categories. - At least one auction template exists (next section). You can schedule without one, but then you fill everything in by hand.
- A laptop that builds shows: the LASI Chrome extension paired on your streaming laptop, with Builds shows switched on in
Settings → Integrations → Stream stats. See Building shows in Seller Center. (Or your own automation, connected with a token fromSettings → Integrations → Claude; see Ask LASI, and LASI with Claude.)
Auction templates#
Admins
A template is a show you run again and again — "Friday Night Mystery Bundles", say. It holds everything that is the same every time, so scheduling only asks for what changes: which accounts and when.
What it makes is simple: one LIVE event in TikTok Seller Center, and inside it one auction listing for each round. A show with three rounds (Women’s, Men’s, Unisex) is one LIVE event with three listings. The template page shows exactly this in a box called What this makes, redrawn as you type, with the next show date filled in.
- 1Open
Settings → Shows, and in Auction Templates click Manage. - 2Click New template. It opens on a page of its own.
- 3Give it a Template name (what you pick when you schedule a show).
- 4Under Rounds, give round 1 a Listing name. It starts with its quantity, starting bid and timer filled in; change them if they are wrong.
- 5Add a round for each other part of the show (see Rounds), and fill in the other cards as far as you know them. Watch What this makes to check the result.
- 6Click Create template at the foot of the page (Save changes when editing). If something needs fixing, the bar at the foot says what, and clicking it takes you to the field.
Each template in the list shows its shop, how it records sales, its rounds, and its event name with the next show date filled in. Click its name to change it. Schedule a show opens Schedule a Show with the template already applied, Duplicate starts a new template as a copy of it, and Retire takes it out of the scheduling list (retired templates fold away under Retired, each with Restore).
Basics
- Template name.
- Shop account — ticked for you when scheduling. Any shop leaves the choice to you each time.
- How you record sales — Staged, Post-show count or Live sell, each described on its card.
The LIVE event
- Event name — what viewers see, and the name every show starts with (you can still give one show a different name when you schedule it). Click + Show date to put the show’s date into the name; under the box, Shows as prints the name with the next show date filled in, and a counter shows it against TikTok’s 32 characters (counted with the longest date, like 12/31).
- Description — up to 200 characters, TikTok’s own limit, with a counter beside the label.
- How long the show runs, in hours and minutes.
- Viewers 18 and over only and Recommend on your videos.
Rounds
Each round is one auction listing, with its own name, category, quantity, starting bid and timer. See Rounds below.
Same for every listing
- Warehouse — where the items ship from, as it is named in Seller Center.
- When an item’s timer runs out — Extended bidding (a last-second bid resets the timer, to what Reset the timer to says) or Sudden end.
Shipping
- Does this product contain hazardous materials? — Not answered, No or Yes (see below).
- Package weight with its unit, and the Box size as length × width × height with its unit.
Last, Notes for the show builder carries anything about this style of show that is not a field. The show builder reads it while it fills in Seller Center.
Leaving the page with unsaved changes asks first. Editing a template never changes a job that was already scheduled from it: each job keeps a copy of the template as it was when it was queued.
Rounds#
Admins
A show is usually a few rounds, and they are not all the same: Women’s, then Men’s, then Unisex, each in its own category and with its own name. Each round is one auction listing, and they go up in the order shown. Every round card has:
- Listing name — what buyers see, such as
A) Clothing Auctions (Final Sale) - {date},PART 2 - … - {date}orROUND 3 - … - {date}. + Show date puts the show’s date in, and Shows as under the box prints it filled in. Every round needs a name. - Category — picked from TikTok’s list.
- Quantity (how many items this round can sell), Starting bid (what each item starts at) and Timer (sec) (how long each item is up for bidding).
A new template starts with round 1, its quantity, starting bid and timer already filled in. Round 1 must be complete. Click + Add round 2 for the next one: it starts as a copy of the round before it with the next part marker ("A)" becomes "B)", "PART 1" becomes "PART 2"), so you only change what is different, usually the name and the category.
- On round 2 and after, a box you leave empty uses round 1’s value, shown faintly inside the box. What this makes shows those values in grey.
- The ↑ and ↓ buttons change a round’s place; Remove takes it out. A template always has at least one round.
Picking a category#
TikTok’s listing form picks a category from a list, so a category typed even one character differently is one the automation cannot select, and it gets stuck on a required field. That is why LASI makes you pick it, from the same groups Seller Center shows you.
- 1Click the Category box. TikTok’s top groups open under it, in alphabetical order: Beauty & Personal Care, Sports & Outdoor, Womenswear & Underwear and the rest.
- 2Click a group. What is inside it opens beside it. Keep clicking until you reach the category you want.
- 3Click the category. The box closes and shows its name, then the groups it sits in.
- A row with › is a group: clicking it opens it, and the number beside it is how many categories it holds. A row without one is a category: clicking it picks it.
- The line across the top (All categories › Beauty & Personal Care › Fragrance) is where you are. Click any step of it to go back there.
- On a phone there is room for one level at a time, so each group opens in place of the list before it and Back goes up one.
- Click the box again later and it opens where the chosen category is, with a tick beside it.
- The × beside the box clears it.
Searching instead
With the box open, type a word or two, such as tops or mens fragrance. Groups whose name matches come first (click one to look inside it), then Categories, each with the groups it sits in written under it.
- LASI matches whole words in a category’s own name, so
topsbrings up Men’s Tops and Women’s Tops, not laptops, and not every hoodie that happens to be filed under a group called Tops. Open the group to see those. - Spelling is forgiving:
mensfinds Men’s,tshirtsfinds T-shirts,sports and outdoorsfinds Sports & Outdoor, anddressfinds Dresses. - The foot of the list says how many matched. If it says it is showing the first 60, add a word to narrow it.
- Nothing found? Try one word, or clear the box and look through the groups.
What the notes mean
- A row marked invite only is a category TikTok has not opened to your shop. You can pick it, and the box then warns you that a listing in it is refused until TikTok approves you. Categories your shop can list in carry no mark, and come first in a search.
- Typed, not picked — re-pick it so it matches TikTok exactly means the category was typed before categories were synced. Pick it again from the list.
- TikTok’s list no longer has this category under this name means TikTok renamed or removed it since you picked it. Pick it again.
- The foot of the list says when TikTok’s list was last synced. If a category you expect is missing, sync again:
Settings → Integrations → TikTok Shop → Sync categories. - If categories were never synced, the boxes turn into plain text, and a template says so once at the top with a Sync categories link (the Schedule a Show screen says it under the box). Sync them and re-pick.
The hazardous-materials answer#
Admins
Seller Center requires an answer to Does this product contain hazardous materials? on every listing. LASI deliberately never answers it for you: fragrance, aerosols and some cosmetics ship as hazardous, and a quiet "No" would put a false declaration on real shipments.
So a template starts at Not answered, and its Shipping card says Needs an answer until you pick No or Yes; the template list marks it too. Until then the scheduling screen shows an amber warning that the show builder will have nothing to enter there. Answer it once on the template and it applies to every listing built from it.
Schedule a show#
Admins and managers
- 1Open Auctions and click Schedule (next to New Show).
- 2Pick a Template. A grey box lists what it applies — category, warehouse, format, package, hazardous materials — so you can see what is about to be published.
- 3Pick the Auction type: Staged, Post-show or Live.
- 4Tick the Shop accounts to list on.
- 5Check the Event name. It arrives from the template; to call this show something else, type over it (see A different name for one show). The counter beside it shows TikTok’s 32-character cap.
- 6Set the Date and Start time, and optionally the Host.
- 7Check the Auction listings. With a template they arrive prefilled, one per round; blank category, price or timer falls back to the template. Use Add listing for more, or × to remove one.
- 8Leave Also create the show in LASI ticked if you want a show ready to stage against, so the sales land on a show that already exists.
- 9Optionally add Notes for the automation.
- 10Click Queue listings.
Leave the listings empty to queue only the LIVE event and list the items by hand.
Hosts cannot schedule. Scheduling publishes to your public storefront, so it stops at managers and admins.
A different name for one show#
Admins and managers
A template gives every show the same event name, with the date changing. If you would rather not run the same name every day, you do not need a template for each name: change the name when you schedule, and everything else still comes from the template.
- 1On Schedule a Show, pick the template. Event name fills in with the template’s name, and under it the screen says From the template.
- 2Type over it. The line under the box changes to Changed for this show only and tells you what the template still says.
- 3Carry on as usual and click Queue listings.
- The new name goes on this show alone: the LIVE event in Seller Center, and the show in LASI’s Auctions list. The template is never changed, so the next show you schedule starts from the template’s name again.
- Use the template’s name, above the box, puts the template’s name back.
- If your name has the show’s date in it and you then change the Date, the date in the name changes with it. The rest of what you typed is left alone.
- Each listing’s name under Auction listings can be changed the same way, for this show only.
- Asking Ask LASI to schedule a show works too: tell it the name, for example “schedule Friday’s show at 7 from After Dark Minis and call it Dollar Starts Friday”.
- To change the name every show starts with, change the template instead:
Settings → Shows → Auction Templates, then Event name.
One job per shop account#
If you tick three shop accounts, LASI makes three separate jobs (and, with Also create the show in LASI, three separate shows). The screen says so: "3 accounts — 3 separate shows, each with its own job, so one failing does not hold up the others."
That way a problem on one account is one red row and one tap to retry, rather than the whole schedule failing together.
Following the queue#
Admins and managers (everyone sees the card)
Unfinished jobs appear in a Scheduled listings card at the top of Auctions, saying how many are waiting on your automation. A job that finished disappears from the card: its listings are live and it belongs to the show it created.
| Label | What it means |
|---|---|
| Queued | Waiting for your automation to pick it up. |
| Running | Your automation has claimed it and is working on it. |
| Partly done | Some listings are live, some are not. The row says how many, like "2 of 3 listings created". |
| Failed | Nothing more will happen on its own. The error from the automation is shown under it. |
Two automations can never run the same job: only one can claim it. If an automation claims a job and then goes quiet for half an hour (the laptop closed, say), the job can be picked up again.
Retry and Cancel#
Admins and managers
- Retry appears on a Partly done or Failed job. It picks up where the job stopped: listings that already went live are left alone, and only the unfinished ones are tried again. It never re-publishes the whole show.
- A job can be retried up to five times. After that, fix what is wrong (usually the template) and schedule it again.
- Cancel takes the job out of the queue. Listings the automation already created stay in Seller Center; remove them there if needed.
The team schedule#
The Team Schedule page shows who is working, this week and next, synced from Homebase. Everyone on the team can open it: admins and managers under Tools → Schedule in the sidebar, hosts and staff under Schedule. On the phone it is Menu → Schedule, and the Today tab shows who is Working today.
- The week runs across seven day columns, today highlighted. Use ←, This week and → to move.
- Each shift shows the person (or Open shift, or Unassigned), the times and the role. Times are always in your business timezone, whatever your computer is set to.
- LASI never changes the schedule. Homebase is where shifts are made and edited.
| Who | What they see |
|---|---|
| Everyone | The published shifts for the week. |
| Admins | Also draft shifts (tagged Draft), each day’s cost, the labor strip — Scheduled cost, Actual cost, Variance, Overtime hours, Tips declared — and Labor by role, plus the Sync now button. |
Connecting Homebase and syncing#
Admins
Until Homebase is connected, the page says No scheduling app connected, and an admin gets a Connect Homebase button. Connecting takes a read-only API key from Homebase; the full steps are in Shopify, Homebase and other connections.
- LASI syncs every night by itself: the last 4 weeks and the next 3 weeks of schedule, plus 4 weeks of timecards.
- Click Sync now on the Team Schedule page (or on
Settings → Integrations → Homebase) to pull the latest right away — for example just after you publish next week in Homebase. - Homebase employees are matched to your LASI staff records by exact name, and you can change a match on the Homebase settings page.
Common questions#
Does LASI create my auctions in TikTok by itself?
No. TikTok gives apps no way to create auctions. LASI queues exactly what to list, and an automation you run types it into Seller Center. Without an automation, the queue is a checklist you can follow by hand.
My job says Failed. What now?
Read the error under it — it comes from your automation. The usual causes are a category that does not match TikTok’s list, an event name over 32 characters, or an unanswered hazardous-materials question. Fix the template, then click Retry.
Will Retry post duplicates of the listings that already went live?
No. Retry only touches the listings that did not go live the first time.
I edited a template. Do the jobs I already queued change?
No. Every job carries a frozen copy of the template as it was when you queued it. Cancel and re-schedule a job if you want the new settings on it.
Can I use a different event name each day without making a new template?
Yes. On Schedule a Show, type over the Event name the template filled in. The change is for that show only and the template keeps its own name. See A different name for one show.
I cannot find my category. Where is it?
Click the Category box and look through the groups the way you would in Seller Center, or type one word of its name, such as tops. If it is not there at all, TikTok may have added it since your last sync: Settings → Integrations → TikTok Shop → Sync categories. See Picking a category.
Why can’t I just type the category?
Because Seller Center only accepts a category picked from its list, and a typed path that differs by a character stops the automation mid-form. Sync the categories and pick one.
Why is there a warning about hazardous materials?
The template has not answered the question and Seller Center requires it. Set it to No or Yes on the template. LASI never assumes "No", because fragrance and aerosols usually count as hazardous.
Can a host schedule a show?
No. Scheduling publishes to your storefront, so it is for managers and admins. Templates can only be edited by admins.
The Team Schedule says there is no schedule this week.
Check that the week is published in Homebase, then click Sync now (admins). LASI also syncs every night.
Why can’t my manager see wages on the schedule?
Wages, labor cost and draft shifts are for admins only. Everyone else sees the published shifts.
Not on LASI yet?
Signups open soon. Leave your email and we’ll tell you the moment they do.
