What the post-show flow is#
The post-show flow is the one most sellers use. Nothing is counted before the stream. You sell on TikTok, and afterwards you say how many units left each bin. TikTok’s own orders then supply the prices, and LASI works out the show’s profit.
It fits a seller who sells interchangeable items out of bins, very often everything out of one bin in a night. When you tell LASI which bin that is, the count afterwards is a single number, and admins see the show’s profit while it is still on air.
You create it on New show by answering After the show to “When are you recording sales?”. See Create a show. The show then opens on its counting board.
The close at a glance#
During the stream
Name the bin, link the stream. Changes nothing.
starts the close
The close
One bin, one number. Cancels are left out.
Prefilled from the linked streamThe money
Pick the stream, check the giveaways.
Giveaways prefilled from the linked stream- 1During the stream: keep the counting board open. Name the bin, link the stream.
- 2End show & finalize: the board’s button starts the close.
- 3Count what sold: type (or check) how many units left the bin.
- 4Confirm: stock leaves the bins.
- 5Pull sales from TikTok: pick the show’s stream; say what was given away.
- 6Finalize: the show’s sales, fees and profit reach your reports.
The web and the iPhone app run the same steps. The phone fills in more for you: the count arrives filled in from the linked stream, and after Confirm it goes straight to the stream picker. See what the phone fills in.
The counting board#
On the web the board opens when you create the show, and whenever you click the show on Auctions before it is confirmed. On the iPhone app it opens from the Shows tab. Keep it open for the length of the stream.
- The header: the show’s name, a Counting sales pill and the End show & finalize button. Under it: the date, the TikTok shop and the host (or Hosts: when several).
- Run time: how long the show has been running, counted from when you created the show. After the count is confirmed it is how long the show ran, and it does not grow if you confirm late (see Common questions).
- Orders: the linked stream’s orders so far. A dash until a stream is linked.
- Gross: what the linked stream has sold so far. Admins, managers and hosts see it.
- Counted: units already entered on the count screen, if anyone has started.
- Live stats (viewers, likes and so on) appear above the tiles when the streaming laptop runs the LASI Chrome extension. See The LASI Chrome extension.
- Hosts: who is on air, with each host’s sales so far. Switching hosts mid-show is covered in Hosts, co-hosts and commission.
“Selling out of one bin?”#
This card asks one question: is everything on tonight’s show coming out of a single bin? If it is, pick that bin from the list. The list shows every bin with stock and how many units it holds (admins also see its cost a unit).
- The count afterwards opens on that bin alone: one big number to type instead of a search through the whole warehouse.
- Admins get the show’s profit while it runs, because every unit then costs the same (see Profit so far).
- Nothing is staged or taken out of the bin by picking it. It is only a hint.
- You can still add other bins during the count if the night turned out to need them.
Anyone who runs the show can pick the bin: admins, managers, hosts and staff. To go back to no single bin, choose — no single bin —.
“Giveaways come from”#
Admins
Giveaway stock is usually bought separately from what you sell, and often costs less. So a gift is not charged at the selling bin’s price. Instead, once a bin is named and the linked stream reports its first gifted unit, admins see a second question: Giveaways come from.
- 1Wait for the card to appear (it only shows once TikTok reports a $0 order on the linked stream, so a show with no giveaways is never asked).
- 2Pick the bin the gifts come out of. Its cost a unit is shown beside it.
- 3The gifts’ cost joins Profit so far straight away.
Naming the giveaway bin also pays off later: when you finalize, the giveaway line arrives already filled in with that bin and TikTok’s count of free orders.
Profit so far#
Admins
Admins see a Profit so far card on the board once two things are true: a bin is named, and a stream is linked. It shows the profit, the margin, units sold, gifts, and the lines behind it.
| Line | Where it comes from |
|---|---|
| Gross | What the linked stream has sold so far. |
| Fees | Your shop’s TikTok fee rate from Settings → Business → TikTok Fees, applied the same way finalize applies it. |
| Cost of goods | Units sold on the stream × the selling bin’s cost a unit. |
| Giveaways | Gifted units × the giveaway bin’s cost a unit (only when a giveaway bin is named). |
Why it is an estimate
- The fee is your shop’s rate. TikTok settles its real fees days later, and LASI replaces the estimate then. See TikTok fees and shipping profit.
- The cost is the bin’s next unit’s cost. If a bin holds more than one purchase at different prices, the figure drifts a little. The count and finalize settle it exactly.
- Units come from the linked stream, so a restarted stream you have not linked yet is missing.
If the card says to link the stream, link it (see below). If it says the bin carries no cost a unit, restock that bin with what it cost on the bin’s page and the figure appears.
Linking the stream on the board#
Admins and managers link; everyone sees it
The TikTok stream card lists the streams linked to this show, with their times, order counts, cancels and gross. Below it, the other streams from the same day are offered with a Link button.
Link the stream while the show is on air or the same day. The gross, the prefilled count, the finalize picker and the packing bench’s cancel check all read the linked stream and never guess by time. If the stream dropped and restarted, TikTok gave it a new room: link that one too.
Hosts and staff see the linked stream but cannot link one; the card says an admin or manager links it. More in Linking the TikTok LIVE to the show.
Cancelled orders: no step, the bench catches them#
When a buyer cancels after winning, the item you set aside for them will never ship. Post-show shows do not stop for a “pull the cancels” step: the close goes straight from End show & finalize to the count.
- The count leaves them out. The number the count is filled in with comes from the linked stream, and cancelled orders are not in it. The stock that leaves the bins is only what really sold.
- The packing bench catches the item. A cancelled order never gets a shipping label, so when its sticker is scanned at the bench, the bench says Cancelled — put #64 back in inventory instead of “no label yet”. Put the item back on its shelf. See A cancelled item at the bench.
Step 1: count what sold#
End show & finalize on the board takes you to the count. On the web it is the Entering sales screen; on the phone it is Count what sold.
When the show named its bin
- 1The bin you named on the board is shown on its own, with how many units are in it.
- 2Type how many sold in Units sold and click Save count (on the phone, use the − and + buttons or type the number).
- 3Wrong bin? Pick another under Change bin. The count moves across with it.
- 4Sold from more than one bin tonight? Click Add another bin to open the full list and add the others. Every bin already counted stays listed under Also counted on this show.
When no bin was named
You get the full list. On the web, Sold Pallets lists what you have counted so far (with Remove) and Add Pallets lists every bin with stock: type a quantity, or use Sell all for the whole bin. The SKU Items tab is for barcoded items: scan or type a barcode, or search by SKU or name and click Sell.
The same screen also lets admins and managers set the Streamer (host) and the show’s Date.
What the phone fills in for you#
On the iPhone app, a show that named its bin and linked its stream asks for almost nothing it already knows:
Count what sold
Tue, Sep 22 show
Marked sold
122
Est. cost
$250
Pallets
1
Queen Blankets
412 in the bin · $2.05/unit
122 sold on the linked stream, cancels already out.
Count what sold
- The count arrives filled in with the units the linked stream sold. Cancelled orders are already left out, so the number is what really sold; an item set aside for a cancelled order goes back to the bin when the packing bench flags it. The screen says “The linked stream already counted this — check the number and confirm.”
- Confirm goes straight to the stream picker, with the show’s linked streams already selected (for admins and managers).
- The giveaway line arrives filled in: TikTok’s $0 orders say how many, the board’s giveaway bin says which.
These are suggestions, never overrides. A count you already typed, a draft already on the show, or a pick you made always wins. Your tap on Confirm and your tap on Finalize are still the only things that write.
A show with no linked stream, a non-TikTok show, or someone who cannot pull sales gets the plain screens with nothing filled in. The web count screen does not prefill the number.
Step 2: confirm (stock leaves the bins)#
Admins, managers, and the show’s own host
- 1On the web, click Review & Confirm. The Confirm Sales page lists every counted bin and item. Fix any number in Sold:, add a bin you missed under Add Missed Pallets, or add a missed item by barcode.
- 2Click Confirm Sales, check the totals, and click Confirm. (“This will deduct inventory and create sale records.”)
- 3On the phone, tap Confirm N sold units, then Confirm sales.
Confirming takes the units out of the bins (oldest stock first, at what each unit actually cost), records the sales and marks the show finished. The sales have no prices yet: those come from TikTok in the next step.
Step 3: pull sales from TikTok and finalize#
Admins and managers
A confirmed show is still waiting for its money. On Auctions it reads Not finalized and its button says Finalize. Pulling the sales gives it its gross, fees and shipping, and finalizing puts it in your reports.
On the web
- 1After Confirm you land on Auction Summary. Click Pull sales from TikTok.
- 2Under Which live was this show?, check the Business day and click the card of the stream that was this show. Each card shows its times, gross, orders, sales, giveaways, cancels and shipping.
- 3Review the gross and the fee lines (click Edit on a line to change it). Admins also see cost of goods and net profit.
- 4Click View Profit Summary (managers: View Sales Summary), check shipping and host commission.
- 5Click Finalize & Create Sales Records.

- 1Under Which streams were this show? Select all that apply, tick the stream (or streams, for a show that restarted).
- 2Under Giveaways, check what was given away. If the board named a giveaway bin it is already there; otherwise tap Pick the item given away.
- 3Tap Finalize with the show’s gross.
Finalizing, what it writes, the show report and fixing a finalized show are covered in Finalizing, show reports and fixing a show.
The CSV upload fallback#
Admins and managers
If TikTok is not connected, or the stream will not load, you can price the show from TikTok’s own export instead.
- 1In TikTok Seller Center, export the orders for the day (the Orders export as .csv, or the Finance settlement export as .xlsx).
- 2On the show’s Auction Summary, click Upload CSV.
- 3Click Click to upload CSV or XLSX and choose the file.
- 4Carry on exactly as with the TikTok pull: review fees, the profit summary, then finalize.
The upload and the pull lead to the same summary. The pull is quicker and more accurate (it only counts the linked stream’s orders), so use the upload only when you have to.
Reopening a confirmed count#
Admins, managers, and the show’s own host
Confirmed the wrong number? As long as the show has not been priced and finalized, you can reopen it.
- 1On the iPhone app, open the show from the Shows tab.
- 2Tap Edit sales.
- 3Read “Reopen the counts?” and tap Reopen. The sold units go back into stock and the count screen opens again.
- 4Fix the count and confirm again.
Reopening is on the iPhone app; the web has no reopen button. Once a show is finalized, open it on the phone and tap a bin to correct how many sold, or Add a pallet the count missed: stock, cost and the reports update, and the show’s gross stays what TikTok collected. More in Finalizing.
What each role sees#
| Role | On the board | In the close |
|---|---|---|
| Admin | Everything: gross, bin costs, the giveaway bin question, Profit so far. Links streams. | Every step, including pulling sales and finalizing. Sees cost of goods and profit. |
| Manager | Gross, not costs or profit. Links streams. | Every step, including pulling sales and finalizing. Sees revenue and fees, not cost or profit. |
| Host | Gross on the stream, not costs or profit. Cannot link streams. | Counts and confirms their own shows. Pulling sales is left to an admin or manager. |
| Staff | Run time, orders, counted. No money. | Types the count. Cannot confirm or finalize. |
Common questions#
Why doesn’t Profit so far show anything?
It needs three things: you are an admin, a bin is named under “Selling out of one bin?”, and a TikTok stream is linked. The card says which one is missing.
Profit so far said one number and the finalized show says another. Why?
The board is an estimate: it uses your shop’s fee rate and the bin’s next-unit cost. Finalize uses the exact cost of each unit that left and the real gross, and TikTok’s real fees replace the estimate later.
The note says some gifted units are not costed.
Name the bin they come from under “Giveaways come from” on the board. Until then they are left out of cost of goods on purpose.
Where did the “pull the cancels” step go?
Post-show shows no longer stop for it. The count already leaves cancelled orders out, and when a cancelled item’s sticker is scanned at the packing bench, the bench says to put it back in inventory. The staged flow keeps its cancels step.
I pressed End show by mistake. Is the show over?
No. Nothing is written until Confirm. Go back to the board.
I confirmed the count a day late. When does LASI say the show ended?
When the show ended, not when you counted it. Confirm the same night and the show ends at that moment. Confirm a day or more later and it ends at the last order on the TikTok stream you linked, which is the night it ran (after midnight only if the stream really ran past midnight). With no stream linked LASI does not guess: the board on the web shows a dash for Run time (the iPhone app shows 0m) until a stream is linked, and fills it in within a few hours after that.
Staff counted the show but it is still “Entering sales”.
Staff can type a count but only an admin, a manager or the show’s host can confirm it. The count is saved as a draft for them.
The count on the phone was already filled in. Where did the number come from?
From the linked TikTok stream: units sold, with cancelled orders left out. Check it against the bin and change it if it is wrong.
The stream isn’t in the list of streams to link.
The list shows the streams from the show’s own business day that have at least one order. If the show is dated wrong, fix it with Change date on Auctions. A stream with no orders yet appears after its first checkout.
My show says “Not finalized”. Do I need a CSV?
No. It means the show is confirmed and waiting to be priced. Open it and use Pull sales from TikTok. The CSV upload is only a fallback.
Can I run a post-show count on Whatnot?
Yes, but the TikTok features (stream linking, the prefilled count, pulling sales, the bench’s cancel check) are not available. Count and confirm as usual, then price it by uploading your orders export with Upload CSV.
